Christmas DreamI wait outside, as the snow softly falls covering everything in a white blanket. I turn my head and smile as I see that familiar old van, comin round the bend. When it comes to a halt, I run over and the door is slid open, my friends smiling faces peering out. “Get in, we’re kidnapping you today!” they pull me in and close the door, before I can say a word. We take off back down the road, laughing and hugging at the chance to see one another again. It’s been almost six months now since he’s left this world. Though I don’t know his whole story, I’ll tell you what I know. He was always there for those he cared about, he never gave up. He did more for others than he ever did for himself. He loved everyone, even when no one else would. He lived through impossible odds when everyone else tossed away hope. He always had something to teach and advice to the heart that had been rained on. I learned how to appreciate life for what it’s worth. Find joy in the little things and love what I got. To be responsible but to have fun too.
